The Fat Fish – George

The George branch opened in 2015 and is tucked away just behind York Street, offering an escape from the bustle of the city centre. Chef Patron Christo Nortier brings extensive international experience and a strong focus on locally sourced, fresh ingredients.

The restaurant features a lush landscaped garden with water features, an outdoor BBQ and a children’s play area. The outdoor BBQ is a major part of Chef Christo’s food philosophy, centred around cooking over fire and bringing people together.

The contemporary interior is divided into intimate dining spaces across different levels, with three fireplaces creating a cosy atmosphere during the colder months.

The Fontus Special Events Room is available for private celebrations and corporate events. It also hosts curated food and wine experiences. Outside catering is available depending on the season and availability.

The landscaped garden includes a children’s play area, making the restaurant suitable for families.
